เพลงพระราชนิพนธ์ลำดับที่ ๒๘

          เพลงพระราชนิพนธ์ลำดับที่ ๒๘ ทรงพระราชนิพนธ์ในพุทธศักราช ๒๕๐๒ ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้พระเจ้าวรวงศ์เธอ พระองค์เจ้าจักรพันธ์เพ็ญศิริ ทรงนิพนธ์คำร้องภาษาอังกฤษและนายศรีสวัสดิ์ พิจิตรวรการประพันธ์คำร้อง “ฝัน” ได้พระราชทานให้ออกบรรเลงครั้งแรกในงานสมาคมนักเรียนเก่าสหรัฐอเมริกาในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ ณ เวทีลีลาศสวนอัมพร เมื่อวันที่ ๒๑ กุมภาพันธ์ พุทธศักราช ๒๕๐๒ และพระราชทานให้บรรเลงในงานสมาคมนักเรียนเก่าอังกฤษในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ ณ สถานที่เดียวกัน ในวันที่ ๒๘ กุมภาพันธ์ พุทธศักราช ๒๕๐๒ ต่อมาในพุทธศักราช ๒๕๐๙ เมื่อสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าฯ พระรมราชินีนาถ เริ่มเสด็จฯ แปรพระราชฐานไปประทับ ณ พระตำหนักภูพิงค์ราชนิเวศน์ ทรงประทับพระราชหฤทัยในความงามของอุทยานดอกไม้นานาพรรณและภูมิทัศน์โดยรอบ จึงได้กราบบังคมทูลขอพระราชทานทำนองเพลงนี้ให้ท่านผู้หญิงมณีรัตน์ บุนนาค แต่งคำร้อง “เพลินภูพิงค์” ขึ้นอีกคำร้องหนึ่ง

Royal composition Number 28

          The twenty-eighth royal musical composition was written in 1959 and given to His Royal Highness Prince chakrabhand Pensiri to compose the English lyrics, Mr. Sriswad Pichitvarakarn the Thai lyrics it was granted to be premiered in the party of the American University Alumni Association under the Royal Patronage at Ambara Dance Hall on 21 February 1959 and to be performed in the party of the British University Alumni association at the same venue on 28 February 1959. Later in 1966 when Her Majesty the Queen started taking up temporary stays at Bhubing Palace, she was so overwhelmed by the beauty of the flowering garden and the surrounding mountain views that she asked for the royal permission to have the tune put to another version of Thai lyrics as “Phloen Bhubing – Enchanted at Bhubing” written by Thanpuying Maniratana Bunnag.
