เพลงพระราชนิพนธ์ลำดับที่ 7
เพลงพระราชนิพนธ์ลำดับที่ 7 ทรงพระราชนิพนธ์ขึ้นในพุทธศักราช ๒๔๙๑ ชื่อราชวัลลภ และพระราชทานให้เป็นเพลงประจำกรมทหารราบที่ 1 มหาดเล็กรักษาพระองค์ เพื่อไว้ใช้ในพิธีสวนสนาม หลังจากนั้น ผู้บัญชาการกรมทหารราบที่ 1 มหาดเล็กรักษาพระองค์ได้มอบหมายให้พันตรีศรีโพธิ์ ทศนุช แต่งคำร้องภาษาไทยถวาย มีห้องเพลงยาวกว่าเดิม จึงขอพระราชทานทำนองเพิ่มเติมเพื่อให้เข้ากับคำร้อง ในการแก้ไขทำนองให้เข้ากับคำร้องนี้ ทรงพระราชกรณีโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้พระเจนดุริยางค์ (ปิติ วาทยากร) ช่วยตรวจทานและได้พระราชทานนามเพลงพระราชนิพนธ์นี้ว่า “มาร์ชราชวัลลภ” (Royal Guards March)เมื่อพุทธศักราช 2495
Royal Composition Number 7
The seventh royal musical composition was written in 1948, named Rajavallabha, and granted as the theme for the First Infantry Regiment of the King's Own Bodyguard, to be used in their parade. Thereafter, Commanding Officer of the First Infantry Regiment assigned Major Sripo Tosnud to write the lyrics in Thai to be presented to His Majesty, with a lengthened text to which additional melody was requested to suit the lyrics. In modifying the melody to go with the lyrics, His Majesty asked Phra Chen Duriyang - Piti Vadayakara, a naturalized music teacher, to help with the review. He granted the name to the tune as "March Rajavallabha" (Royal Guards March) in 1952.
